The Maison Sajou Sewing Book, by Lucinda Ganderton is a wonderful publication with easy to follow instructions for hand sewing, embroidery and finishing. The author is a famous British designer who has published many craft books. The book is written in English with a French edition coming out in October, 2014.A big fan of Maison Sajou, Lucinda Ganderton has created twenty ideas using a variety of different stitches for a collection of projects: a cushion with a delightful hare embroidery, beach bag, evening pouch, great ideas for tidies and pencil holders....Each project is accompanied by 2 pages of inspirations, for example, the vegetable table cloth, inspired by the Potager Du Roi, just around the corner from Maison Sajou. All the explanations for stitching and mounting are clearly explained and illustrated by delightful water colour sketches which add a whole new dimension of charm to the book. The beginning of the book goes over the material and basic techniques. The preface is signed by Frédérique Crestin-Billet.
