Tonkin thread is produced by Ets. Toulemonde, one of the last remaining French manufacturers of sewing and embroidery threads. Originally, this thread was produced for industries, notably for professional haute couture embroiderers. Available in 24 colors, this polyester thread contains a fine strand of gold lurex which gives it a touch of class. Unlike other metal based threads, Tonkin thread is delightful to use because it doesn’t fray while embroidering. Length on each card: 10 m, in four strands. Size of card: 7 cm x 9 cm.
