The handles of these scissors are made of kingwood. This dark violet wood with black veins comes from the same palissandre family as wenge. It is widely used in cabinet making and marquetry.  The fine, delicate blades are engraved Sajou.  Quality scissors can be distinguished by, among other things, their 'pairing marks' : this is a sign that the blades have been perfectly adjusted from the beginning of their production.  These scissors are adorned with a passementerie pompom in brown and rust tones. All these products are MADE IN FRANCE.
