This delightful vintage style sewing set contains three of Sajous' flagship products: a pair of blue onyx style scissors, a blue onyx style thimble and a blue onyx thread winder.

This pair of scissors has the same shape as our red onyx and tartan scissors. The handles are made from imitation blue onyx. During the 19th century, scissors with handles made from natural materials were extremely popular. However, they were very fragile and would break at the slightest impact. The models we sell, on the other hand, are extremely solid and made to be used. Quality scissors can be distinguished by, among other things, their 'pairing marks': this is a sign that the blades have been perfectly adjusted from the beginning of their production. These scissors are adorned with a passementerie pompom in turquoise and purple tones. All these products are MADE IN FRANCE.

The case is made in the style of days gone by: the wooden box is covered with a smart purple galluchat-style paper. The interior of the lid is made of grey satin, stamped with Sajou in matt silver. The scissors, thimble and thread winder are placed on a mauve felt. The casket is opened by means of a small silver-coloured slide button.
Dimensions of case: 15.5 cm long - 9 cm large - 3.5 cm thick.
