Working with domestic alpaca breeders and an Ohio mill, BagSmith has created a new yarn specifically for creating rugs, cushions, blankets and wraps using Big Stitch Tools. Each “bump” of our big stitch yarn weighs 40 oz and is approximately 140 yards. Bumps are currently available in natural colors including cream, light fawn, dark fawn, multi fawn, grey, and multi grey. The fiber content is 70% alpaca, 15% wool and 15% nylon. Each bump yields a rug approximately 24” x 27” either knitted or crocheted. Please note that this is natural fiber and no two bumps are exactly alike. Expect a iittle shedding during knitting or crocheting.  Wash with SOAK or other rinse free soap in cold water.  Air dry.
