These embroidery scissors are made in France. They are forged, dipped, polished, chromed and hand-mounted. They are a replica of a classic model in French scissor-making. They bear the name of a village in Haute-Marne (north east France), a region once devoted to the production of scissors. They are sold under the Découvit brand, which has become a generic name for stitch rippers made in France since 1930. This brand is now part of the Toulemonde group, manufacturers of the illustrious Fil au Chinois. They are presented shrink-wrapped on a pretty Art Deco-style card. Size:  4"
