All of our needles and hooks are made in Ohio by master craftsman John Higgins. The needles are made of lightweight, durable basswood and the hooks are carved from maple. We take the utmost care finishing these tools, including the use of a non-toxic wax in the final stages.
Our Big Stitch needles are either US size 50 (25mm) or US size 35 (19mm) and come in 4 lengths: 20”, 24”, 28” and 32”. These tools are hand-made of basswood which is very light weight and durable.
The double pointed needles are also made of basswood and are 10” long These can be used for I-cords and short rows. This is an exclusive BagSmith design.
